Wade Powell’s story
Wade has only been competing for 4 years and has done remarkably well. His ambition is to train and work in the sport overseas. At the Reining Nationals last year Wade was spotted as an up and coming and was asked to go over to America and meet the top reining trainers. At the 2011 Nationals Wade Won High Point Yough, 14—18yrs, of Australia and as a prize he has won a trip to America. America has embraced Reining and it is a coveted sport and the competition is fierce. It will give Wade a chance to compete at another level and involved himself greatly in the sport he loves and start a career once he finishes school.
Of course to be able to travel to America and benefit from this wonderful opportunity, Wade and his family must raise at least $10,000. Tania has been raising money for the past 6 months, even offering a home bred filly as 1st prize in a raffle. Congrats to Hayley on winning this beautiful buckskin filly.

These are just some of Wades Awards Wade spends most his school holidays with Australia’s two best Reining trainers Warren Backhouse and Martin Larcome. He takes in as much as he can and has a determination and willingness to learn. Wade is a very passionate young man and has drive & determination.
